Land

In late 2017 a group of about 50 families from various villages inside and outside of the Laguna Lachua region came together in order to create a committee. The idea of the committee was to work together to buy a plantation through a loaning program offered by the Guatemalan government for families that have little to no land.  ADAWA has been working with these campesinos, facilitating the transportation to the offices (3 hours away), the legalities and logistics of the process (lawyers, formalized paperwork, etc.), and supplying venue and advisement for meetings
